Chapter 1: The idea for The Longer Table first came to me one day in 2016…
“I was inspired by helping with The Longer Table garden last summer
to do a related project in my college Geospatial Analysis class. Using realtime photos, GPS, and other data, I plan to map out the food desert areas in Indy based on the distance to fresh groceries and bus routes combined with census data on population densities, income, and demographics.”
